Selling turnkey websites online,
particularly on
eBay, offers anybody a fantastic
opportunity to make
money on the Internet.
eBay sellers: you can get sites put
together
surprisingly cheaply even if you possess
few or no web
design skills.
Web Designers: you can continue to make
money even if you find yourself struggling
to find clients.
A true turnkey website is one that is
completely
ready to go. The buyer should just be able
to 'turn
the key' and drive it away. They shouldn't
have to
find hosting, install scripts, buy a
domain name or
set up a payment processor in order to get
started.
Sites are often referred to as turnkey,
when in fact,
they are not.
Sales letters that come with ebooks for
example may
say that they are turnkey and the buyer
can get
selling the ebook immediately, when in
fact they need
to do all kinds of things before setting
off.
The Internet is no longer populated purely
by
computer geeks. The majority of web
surfers nowadays
know very little about designing websites,
installing
scripts and creating graphics.
There is, however, an ever growing
population of web
users who would like to make money online
and most are impatient. They want a
reasonably priced business that they can
step into and start making money
immediately.
These people may, of course, have skills
in different
areas. They may be expert marketers or
entrepreneurs,
or they may just like the idea of owning
their own
website. Whatever their reasons, learning
web design
and programming will probably not appeal
to them.
That doesn't mean though, that you need to
be a web
designer or programmer yourself in order
to go into
the business of selling websites. It's
amazing how
little you can get a website designed for
if you know
where to go. And if your skills lie in
selling on
eBay, this can be a really great
opportunity.
You can have a site designed in a few days
and go on
to sell it for $100s in profit. And what's
more, this
is very much an underexploited
opportunity. There
really aren't that many people selling
websites on<
eBay, at least not quality true turnkey
sites.
The "Business & Industrial > Websites &
Businesses
for Sale" section of eBay may look pretty
overcrowded,
but when you look at the auctions, you'll
find that
very few people are selling the kind of
sites we're
talking about.
If you have got web design skills of
course, this
could be exactly what you're looking for.
Web
Designers don't command the high fees they
once did.
It's a field that more and more people are
moving into
and competition is getting fierce.
Many web designers struggle to find work
or end up<
working for far less than their worth.
Creating and
selling websites on eBay can put an end to
all of
that. Not only can you make more money,
but you can
take more creative control of the sites
you design.
Of course, you have to design a site that
is in
demand and is attractive to buyers, but
you're not
following the exact blueprint of a
demanding client.
For many it can be a truly liberating
experience.
Selling turnkey websites on eBay is a
great opening
for anyone to make money online. Whilst
web designers
can benefit from it immensely, you don't
necessarily
need web design or programming skills to
do it. This
truly is an opportunity open to all.
